Favorite Place: Grand Cayman

My favorite place is Grand Cayman. I went to this island on a vacation with my family when I was younger and I had the best time. The food was amazing, the people were nice, and the beach was incredible. We could walk a few steps into the water and see the coral reef and all the fish would swim with us.

    A big yes to Grand Cayman, Robbie! Fabulous! I spent this summer studying Caribbean folktales... but I was doing that from home. Now, though, I have an excuse to go to the Caribbean and visit all the islands that are home to the stories I learned about this summer.  My name is Robbie Johnson. I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma and am a senior here at OU. All my life I have been a huge fan of sports. I played almost every sport when I was younger such as football, baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, tennis, and track. My favorites are definitely football and basketball. As I grew older, I cut the sports down to just football and basketball because I did not have enough time for that many extracurriculars. Now that I am in college, I am focusing my attention on school and my major is Health and Exercise Science. After college I am looking to go to chiropractic school. So far I have loved my experience at OU and will cherish it forever. I hate that I am going to miss out on so much fun my senior year because of the coronavirus but I am dedicating my time to have as much fun with the unfortunate situation we have all been placed in. Week 2 Story: The Tiger, The Man, and The Jackal

(Jungle:  Surviving in the Jungle )   One day a tiger was walking through the jungle and stumbled upon a cage. To the tiger’s surprise it noticed there was a man inside of it. The tiger was very happy when it saw this because he was very hungry and had been searching for food for quite some time now.     The man became worried instantly and feared for his life. The tiger asked the man “why are you trapped in the cage” and the man replied “I have been stuck here for a few days now because I have been captured by a tricky jackal.    (Caged man: Fulcrum Gallery ) Upon hearing this, the tiger became very excited because that was a new opportunity for him to get more food. After hearing this, the tiger stayed at the cage so he could plan how to get the man out so he could eat him. First he tried ramming himself into it. That did not work.
